What is a Mutual Fund?

A Mutual Fund is an investment product that allows you to pool your money into an investment vehicle that is managed by professionals who oversee the decisions on buying, holding or selling individual securities within the fund.
Managed by Professionals
A single Mutual Fund many contain dozens of seperate investments which are selected and managed by the fund's portfolio manager and researchers to match up to the goals and investment objectives of the mutual fund.
Mutual Funds may invest in a range of investments in terms of country, industry, stocks and bonds. This structure helps you diversify the assets you are investing in, which is a sound strategy to help manage investment risk.
Mutual funds also offer a high degree of liquidity, which means they can be bought and sold every trading day and your investment is typically not locked in.

Types of Mutual Funds

Our Mutual Fund options are available in Non-registered and Registered Accounts such as an RRSP, RRIF, RESP or TFSA. Most Mutual Funds have a minimum investment of $1,000. Meet with our team to explore additional Mutual Fund options from other partners like Fidelity, NEI and CI.
