What’s a surcharge anyway?

A surcharge is a fee that the owner of an ATM charges to a user. ATMs that surcharge have a warning screen that appears before the completion of a transaction. Surcharges are not the same as transaction or account fees, and could range anywhere from $1.25 per transaction and up.

A surcharge isn't the same as a regular ATM service fee. Find out more about Coast Capital's ATM service fees.

Travelling outside of Canada? Look for the Accel®,  Allpoint, and Cirrus Networks

Coast Capital members have access to over 550,000* ATMs in the US through the Accel® network and Allpoint network. Just look for the Accel® or Allpoint network logos. And when travelling internationally look for the Cirrus Network logo. Deposits are only allowed at select ATMs in Canada, so if you are going to be away for an extended period and need to deposit to your account, plan ahead and talk with your financial institution about other options available to you. Find out about our international ATM fees.

* Surcharging may occur at US locations
