Adding a card to an eligible Samsung device

If you have a compatible device, you should have Samsung Wallet already installed on your phone. If you don’t already have the Samsung Wallet app, download it on the Galaxy Store.

  1. Open the App
  2. Follow the instructions to add your debit card.
  3. Visit the Samsung Wallet FAQ Website for more information on how to add a card

How to change the default card on your Samsung device.

  1. Open Samsung Wallet on your phone
  2. Tap on your added card
  3. Tap more options (the three vertical dots)
  4. Select Set as default payment card

Samsung Wallet is protected by Samsung’s security platform, Samsung Knox, which includes fingerprint recognition and encryption to help ensure important user data is protected. And it stores information from your wallet in an isolated environment, which offers an extra layer of defense against potential hacking attempts.

Yes. You can add up to 10 payment cards to Samsung Wallet.

To delete a card from Samsung Wallet, open the app, go to the "Menu" or "All" tab, select "Payment cards", choose the card you want to remove, tap "More options" (usually three dots), then "Delete card". Confirm the deletion by entering your Samsung Wallet PIN or biometrics

Important Notes:

  • Deleting a card from Samsung Wallet does not cancel your physical card. To cancel your physical card, you need to contact Coast Capital Savings at 1.888.517.7000
  • If you use Samsung Wallet on multiple devices, deleting a card from one device will not automatically delete it from other devices.

There are no additional fees to use Samsung Pay. Paying with your debit card through Samsung Pay is the same as paying with your physical cards, so any fees associated with the cards still apply.

Yes, the limits for Samsung Pay are the same limits assigned to your debit card. 

Yes, you can return items purchased with Samsung Pay. To return items purchased with Samsung Pay, follow the process for returns at the store where the item was purchased. You'll need the original receipt and the physical card used in the Samsung Pay transaction. Depending on the store's policies, it may take a few days for the refund to appear on your card.

For in-store purchases, some users have reported that retailers may ask you to use Samsung Pay to complete the refund by tapping your phone on the NFC

Samsung Pay transactions appear on your statement as a regular purchase transaction.
