Apple Pay and Apple Wallet
Once you add your Coast Capital debit or credit card to Apple Wallet, you’re ready to use Apple Pay for your purchases. When it’s time to pay, just hold your Apple device near the contactless reader and authenticate using Face ID, Touch ID or passcode.
Paying with Apple Pay
Apple Pay is not only easy, it's also completely secure. Your card details are never shared with the merchant. In fact, they’re not even stored on your device. Plus, all your Coast Capital Savings debit and credit card transactions are protected with zero liability coverage. This means you can shop worry-free.
Use Apple Pay wherever you see one of these symbols:

Pay with your iPhone
Hold the top of your iPhone near the contactless reader until Done and a checkmark appear on the display.
Pay with your Apple Watch
Double-click the side button, your default card will open automatically, to choose another card, scroll down and select. Hold the display of your Apply Watch near the contactless reader until you feel a gentle tap and hear a beep.

Pay Online & In Apps
Tap the Apple Pay button or choose Apple Pay as your payment method. If necessary, enter your billing, shipping, and contact information. Confirm the payment.

Getting started is simple

- Open the Wallet app.
- Tap '+' in the upper right corner.
- Follow the instructions to add your Coast Capital Savings debit card.
How to change the default card for Apple Pay on your iPhone.
- Open the Wallet app.
- Touch and hold the payment card that you want to set as your default card.
- Drag the card in front of your other cards.

- Open the Apple Watch app on Your iPhone.
- Go to the My Watch tab. If you have multiple watches, choose one.
- Tap Wallet & Apple Pay and select Add Credit or Debit Card.
- Follow the onscreen instructions to add your Coast Capital Savings debit card.
How to change the default card for Apple Pay on your Apple Watch.
- On your iPhone, open the Apple Watch app.
- In the My Watch tab, tap Wallet & Apple Pay.
- Under Transaction Defaults, tap Default Card.
- Tap a card to set it as your default card.
Apple Pay FAQ’s
Apple Pay is a secure way to make transactions using your iPhone and Apple Watch. Every purchase is kept secure with Touch ID, Face ID, or your passcode to prevent strangers from using Apple Pay on your devices. Apple Pay also doesn’t store or share your private account information, including your name and your original card number. For more information, visit the Apple Pay Support site.

- In the Wallet app, tap the card that you want to remove.
- Tap the More button (…), then tap Card Details.
- Scroll down and tap Remove Card.
Important Notes:
- Deleting a card from Apple Wallet does not cancel your physical card. To cancel your physical card, you need to contact Coast Capital Savings at 1.888.517.7000
- If you use Apple Wallet on multiple devices, deleting a card from one device will not automatically delete it from other devices.

Call us at 1.888.517.7000 to report your phone as lost or stolen. The Contact Centre is open Mon-Sat, 8am-8pm. If you’re calling after hours, choose the second menu option: “For lost or stolen debit cards, press 2.”

You can also use the Find My iPhone app on another Apple device to temporarily or permanently suspend your card from Apple Pay. You can also remove your card from Apple Pay:
- Go to Settings, and select Wallet & Apple Pay
- Select a card and tap Remove Card
There are no additional fees to use Apple Pay. Paying with your debit card through Apple Pay is the same as paying with your physical cards, so any fees associated with the cards still apply.
Yes, the limits for Apple Pay are the same limits assigned to your debit card.
You can generally return purchases made using Apple Pay by providing the receipt. When the merchant processes your refund, it goes back to your payment card automatically. If you don't have the receipt or the merchant asks for more information, you can provide the Apple Pay card number for your payment card.

Apple Pay transactions appear on your statement as a regular purchase transaction.
You can add your card to up to five devices.
This can be a caching issue with the Apple device. We recommend logging out of iCloud, restarting your device, and logging back into iCloud to clear the cache.
