Debit card delivery 

Most members1 will automatically receive a new Coast Capital debit card in the mail before October 31.

If you only have either a GIC, Registered Plan, loan or mortgage, you'll be able to set up a Free Chequing, Free Debit and More Account®. Instructions to set up this account will be shared by email after November 1. You will receive a debit card after successful account sign up. 

Debit card activation 

In October, you’ll receive your debit card followed by your 4-digit PIN in two separate mailings.

What you need to do to activate your card:

  1. Sign your card
  2. From your primary phone, call our activation line at 1.866.517.7714
  3. Starting November 1, you can use your card at an ATM or make a purchase using the PIN provided

ATM access 

With your Coast Capital debit card, you'll have access to thousands of surcharge-free ATMs across Canada through The EXCHANGE® and ACCULINK® networks.

Coast Capital members with a Coast Capital debit card have the benefit of these surcharge-free services available at ATMs Canada-wide:

  • Withdrawals
  • Deposits
  • Transfers
  • PIN changes

Digital wallet 

Starting November 1, you can add your activated Coast Capital debit card to your Apple Wallet, Google WalletTM, or Samsung Wallet to pay with your device wherever you tap with your debit card.

1. Members whose primary address is in Quebec and deposit broker members will not receive a debit card. Additional instructions and steps will be sent to members who only have either a GIC, Registered Plan, loan or mortgage. (referenced in the debit card delivery section)
