Surrey, BC – November 5, 2025 – Coast Capital members have re-elected incumbent Board Chair, Bob Armstrong and Directors Charlotte Burke, Jerome Dwight and Firdos Somji to its Board of Directors. Calvin MacInnis, President and CEO of Coast Capital, has also been re-elected to the Board of Directors, in accordance with the Bank Act requirement that the board appoint a President and Chief Executive Officer from among its members. The results were announced during the credit union’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on September 25, 2025. 

“I want to thank all of the candidates who expressed interest in contributing to the success of Coast Capital and to all the candidates for putting their names forward in our election,” said Valerie Lambert, Chair of the Governance and Nominations Committee.” 

She also thanked the members who took time to participate in this year’s election process. This year Coast Capital had received Court approval to defer the director election and AGM until September to avoid any confusion with the member vote on the proposed merger with Prospera and Sunshine Coast credit unions held in the summer. Until the merger is complete, Coast Capital will continue to operate independently with its own distinct Board of Directors. 

At the conclusion of the AGM, Board Chair Bob Armstrong thanked Coast Capital’s Executive Committee and employees for their dedication in helping individual members, business members and communities over the past year. He also thanked members for their ongoing support and continued trust in partnering with Coast Capital.
