Media Advisory: Coast Capital’s COVID-19 Response

In response to heightened concerns about the rapid spread of COVID-19, Coast Capital Savings is announcing a number of proactive measures to protect employees and members, while maintaining critical services.

New measures to combat COVID-19

Effective immediately, Coast Capital Savings is taking the following steps to address the financial implications the current economic climate is having on our members’ financial well-being and help reduce the spread of COVID-19.:

  • Member financial relief
    All of us at Coast Capital understand that COVID-19 is impacting Canadians in various ways, including their financial well-being.

    If you are facing financial challenges due to illness, job loss or childcare disruptions, you are not alone. We are here to help. Our team is currently working on definitive measures that we can take to help our personal and business members and we encourage you to check our website for the most up-to-date information. In the meantime, we are committed to helping every member with their individual circumstances. This includes deferral of mortgage payments and the opportunity for relief on other credit products on a case-by-case basis.

    Our Contact Centre is open and ready to provide advice, call 1.888.517.7000. We apologize in advance for longer than usual wait times and ask for your patience and understanding in what is a stressful time for everyone.
  • Temporary limited branch closures
    Ten branches will be temporarily closed to ensure we are doing our part to flatten the curve and reduce the spread of COVID-19 in our communities. These branch locations include: Clayton, Fort Langley, Meadowtown, Westwood, Broadmoor, Edmonds, West Vancouver, Yaletown, Admirals and Central Saanich.

  • Reduced branch hours: Hours at the following locations are being aligned to the larger shopping centres in which they are located: Richmond Centre; Metrotown; Bay Centre; Tillicum; and Westshore.

  • Additional precautions for branches remaining open: These include adjusting staff levels, extra cleaning, and where possible – social distancing to reduce personal contact.

Virtually, all of your banking needs can be achieved from the comfort of your home. With these additional measures, we are asking that you take advantage of our alternative banking options.

Coast Capital’s online and mobile banking features are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, or you can call our Contact Centre team available 7 days a week at 1.888.517.7000 (Mon-Sat, 8am-8pm; Sun, 9am-5:30pm). And, with your Coast Capital Savings debit card, you have access to thousands of surcharge-free ATMs across Canada.
