Payroll and Source Deduction

If your business has employees that receive pay or salary, then CRA rules will require that you deduct Canada Pension Plan (CPP), Employment Insurance (EI) premiums and income tax. Based on the total amount deducted from all your employees, your business will have a different schedule for remittance.

If you prefer to mail your payment, make your cheque payable to the Receiver General and follow the instructions here.

Provincial Sales Tax (PST)

If you collect PST in BC, you will be required to remit collected PST to the government based on your remittance schedule. To pay your PST, you will first need to register for a PST number with the BC government. Ensure that you File your PST remittance by mail or through the BC Government’s eTaxBC website, or your payment will not be applied to your account.
