What do you do?

I have the privilege to lead and work with 1,700 spirited and talented employees who deliver our purpose of providing simple financial help to improve our members' financial well-being.

What's your career background?

I've worked in the financial services industry for over 25 years, previously holding senior positions at the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI) and TD Bank.

What's your education?

I'm a Chartered Financial Analyst, and hold a BSc in Computer Science and Business Administration from the University of Guelph and an MBA from the Ivey School of Business, Western University.

What community initiative or program are you most passionate about & why?

I'm most interested in engaging youth through the power of sport. In my spare time, I like to keep active by running, biking and swimming.

What do you do?

As Chief Member and Employee Experience Officer, I'm responsible for all of Coast Capital's retail banking and human resource functions. This includes overseeing branches, the contact centre, the investment and life insurance portfolios, as well as, talent acquisition and talent management, total rewards and corporate learning.

What's your career background?

Before joining Coast Capital, I was the Senior Vice President, People and Culture at Canfor, a global forest products company. I've also worked in both the private and public sector with organizations such as Air Canada, Translink, Orca Bay Sports and Entertainment and SAP.

What's your education?

I have a Bachelor of Business Administration from Thompson Rivers University and Master of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University.

How are you involved in your community?

I'm passionate about ensuring organizations have the talent they need for today and tomorrow. As a member of the Board of Directors of Junior Achievement of BC, I have the opportunity to directly support and prepare our next generation of talent for their future careers, ensuring that organizations have access to the amazing young talent BC has to offer.

What do you do?

I lead the Commercial Banking Group, comprised of Small Business, Business Banking, Commercial Real Estate, Equipment Financing via the Coast Travelers Group and Payments and Cash Management.

What's your career background?

I bring over 30 years of commercial, retail banking and wealth management experience through senior roles I held at Lloyds Bank Canada and HSBC.

What's your education?

I have a BSc in Agricultural Economics from the University of Alberta and I'm a graduate of the Institute of Corporate Directors program.

How are you involved in your community?

I've been involved with the Annual Coast Capital Savings Charity Golf Tournament, which benefits depression and mental health research at the VGH and UBC Hospital Foundation for 7 years. I'm proud to say, together, we've raised over $2 million dollars to date for this important initiative. I also sit on the Board of the BCIT Foundation, which oversees foundations, operations and investments.

What do you do?

I contribute to the strategic direction of Coast Capital through the development and implementation of risk management strategies, policies, and processes in support of our business goals, and oversee Strategy, Enterprise Analytics and Legal.

What's your career background?

Prior to joining Coast Capital, I was the Senior Vice President, Strategy and Analytics at Pacific Blue Cross, and held senior executive positions at Central 1, Credential Financial Inc. and Northwest and Ethical Investments.

What's your education?

I'm a Chartered Professional Accountant and hold a BA in Commerce from the University of Toronto.

What's your favourite movie?

Right now, I'd have to go with the Star Wars series as it connects three generations in my family (and I think a Lego Death Star is an appropriate coffee table centerpiece).

What do you do?

I manage all aspects of Coast Capital Savings' brand and I'm responsible for identifying and developing key marketing and public relations strategies.

What's your career background?

I've worked for Coast Capital for over 25 years. During that time, my marketing team was named Marketer of the Year by the BC Chapter of the American Marketing Association and I was recognized as a "Marketer that Matters" by Marketing Magazine.

What's your education?

I have a BCom in Marketing from the University of British Columbia.

How are you involved in your community?

I'm a board member of the Boys and Girls Clubs of the South Coast of BC. It's a charitable organization that provides services to families, such as safe places for youth to play, counseling services to at-risk youth and creating employment opportunities.

David Gaskin

What do you do?

I oversee the development of all corporate revenue, expense and capital expenditure plans and budgets. I'm also responsible for managing Coast Capital's accounting policies, and ensure we maintain compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. Additionally, I oversee interest rate risk and liquidity management along with centralized procurement and facilities management.

What's your career background?

I've worked for Coast Capital for 20 years, which has allowed me to provide financial leadership to our organization through two mergers, many acquisitions, and challenging economic times.

What's your education?

I have a BSc Economics degree from the University of Victoria, a Master of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University, and I'm a Chartered Professional Accountant.

Favourite band or musician?

It's a tie - The Cars and The Cure.

What do you do?

I'm responsible for Coast Capital's information technology operations and services, enterprise project management, eBusiness and process re-engineering.

What's your career background?

During my 17-year career with PricewaterhouseCoopers in New York and Los Angeles, I became a partner of the firm, and led large-scale program implementations for Alberta Health Services, Microsoft, Symantec, Allergen, DreamWorks Animation and several financial institutions.

What's your education?

I have a Business Administration degree from Simon Fraser University and I'm a Chartered Professional Accountant.
