Encouraging kindness and preventing bullying.

How you can help.
2017 Pink Shirt Day was February 22, 2017
The next Pink Shirt Day is February 21, 2018!
Watch this space for details on how you can support bullying prevention programs by purchasing an official Pink Shirt Day t-shirt and encouraging kindness with the use of your social media channels.
How we help.
Our support of Pink Shirt Day is part of our Youth Get It community investment program commitment to helping build healthy minds. We want to help youth in your community build a sense of belonging to decrease stress and depression.
Bullying affects people of all gender, socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds and the numbers are staggering:
- 40% of Canadian youth said they have been bullied online
- Bullying in Canadian schools happens every 25 minutes in the classroom and every 7 minutes elsewhere on school grounds
- Studies show that bullying can end within 10 seconds of intervention
By supporting Pink Shirt Day we’re helping bullying prevention programs that encourage youth to have positive interactions with their peers, and that teach kindness and respect all year long.
All proceeds from Pink Shirt Day go to the CKNW Orphans’ Fund which provides grants to help local non-profit organizations working year round on bullying prevention initiatives including: Canadian Red Cross of BC, Kids Help Phone, Leave Out Violence Society (LOVE BC), YWCA Metro Vancouver and Crisis Intervention and Suicide Prevention Centre of BC.
We're a proud partner.
